14540728 Quarry Duty Tooth for 40 to 48 Ton Machines

Quarry work punishes teeth in two ways at once: heavy abrasion and impact from oversize rock. The 14540728 is cast with a heavy body and a point held at HRC 52 to 56, a compromise that gives long wear without turning brittle.

We double temper this part, because a single temper on a section this thick leaves residual stress that shows up as nose cracks in service.
